Sweet, laid back cafe on the top edge of Gladstone park.
I had coconut and honey cake, with a soy latte, £5 for both. Very reasonable and well made.
The setting is the main attraction. Old converted stables, within the wonderful Gladstone park.
Service was warm and friendly, and the mood was most tranquil.
There is seating both inside and outside. The inside, consisting of sweet booths and cinema posters. Bathroom was very snazzy!
Look forward to trying out their daily changing lunch menu next time I am in the area, especially as they always ensure they have a vegetarian option available. -

By human error, the lovely young man who initially served my friend and I, misheard our order; however the, at-the-rear-end-of-middle-aged man, dealt with it very unprofessionally:
After having our 'tea-for-one' taken away from us to be corrected, and without any communication that we would have to pay extra for what I believed we had already paid for, (it is at this point I would expect to have been informed that it will be an extra £...) the at-the-rear-end-of-middle-aged-man, appeared with 'tea-for-two' and told us it would be an extra two pounds or so. He was visibly agitated when I question why he wanted more money. He then proceeded to lift the tray with our tea on away from us saying 'I'll just give you your money back. You don't have to drink our tea.' He then returned and abruptly placed the money back on our table.
As someone who works in hospitality, this is not the way I would choose to deal with a mistake on my part... I would have apologized for the inconvenience caused, and I would not have charged for what appeared to be an extra empty cup, as the teapot was the same! Jobsworth!! -

A gem of a cafe at the top of Dollis Hill Lane in Gladstone park. The setting, as mentioned, is the main attraction as the cafe is a converted stable house, making it a great spot for brunch or quiet creative work. I had a delicious cappuccino in addition to an egg sandwich with venison relish, which was very tasty and carefully prepared. Overall, a great spot in Cricklewood and a great place for anyone who needs a break from third wave cafe fare.
